In a quiet village in Yergol, Karnataka, a powerful transformation is underway. What once was a typical rural settlement, with limited exposure to technology or modern learning tools, is now home to a buzzing Community-Based Digital Learning Centre — where children confidently explore the internet, practice typing, solve math problems, and even experiment with coding. At the heart of this transformation lies a unique collaboration between two passionate forces: Zameer Foundation, a grassroots non-profit dedicated to community upliftment through education, and Teach to Earn, an initiative that believes every child deserves access to quality digital tools and the opportunity to learn at their own pace.

Zameer Foundation was founded by Mr. Prabhu Rathod, a committed social worker and education advocate who has spent years addressing gaps in learning in underserved communities. His vision has always been clear — to create opportunities for rural youth that are equal to what urban students receive.

“Digital access is no longer a luxury. It is a necessity. When our children get the same tools as city kids, they grow with the same confidence. That’s the change I want to see in Yergol.”
~Mr. Prabhu Rathod, Founder, Zameer Foundation

Mr. Rathod had been running informal education programs for years, but he knew that in order to truly future-proof the children of Yergol, they needed access to computers and the internet. That’s where Teach to Earn stepped in.

Teach to Earn: Technology for Every Learner

Teach to Earn is a growing movement that aims to revolutionize education in India — especially for those who have been left behind by traditional systems. By providing affordable, pre-loaded educational PCs called APNA PCs, Teach to Earn enables self-directed learning at the grassroots level. Each APNA PC is more than just a computer — it is a complete educational ecosystem. It comes loaded with:
1. CoTutor.ai for AI-based doubt-solving
2. BeyondExams for skill-based learning and practice
3. Typing tutors, coding platforms, language tools, general knowledge apps, and more. These tools allow children to learn at their own pace, in their own language, and in their own space — without the pressure of exams or the need for expensive coaching classes.

The Partnership: Vision Meets Action

When Mr. Prabhu Rathod reached out to Teach to Earn, he already had a trusted relationship with the local community and a space ready to be transformed into a learning centre. What he needed was the technological infrastructure to bring his vision to life. Teach to Earn stepped in to bridge this gap by providing 12 APNA PCs, each preloaded with rich educational content tailored for self-directed learning. Beyond just the hardware, Teach to Earn also offered onboarding and training support to help local facilitators confidently set up and manage the centre. The collaboration didn’t stop there — Teach to Earn continues to provide ongoing mentorship to ensure that the centre runs smoothly and sustainably. This partnership between Zameer Foundation and Teach to Earn has led to the creation of a dynamic Community-Based Digital Learning Centre, where children — many of whom had never seen a computer before — now have the opportunity to explore, question, learn, and grow in a nurturing and tech-enabled environment.

Real Stories. Real Impact.

The impact of this partnership has been profound.
Children who once hesitated to speak in class are now confidently engaging with digital tutorials. Some have started teaching their siblings. Others are learning English through interactive apps. Parents, too, have been amazed by how quickly their children are adapting to technology.

Zameer Fundation Proudly shares:
The APNA PCs have given our children dignity. When they use these computers, they feel respected, seen, and capable. It’s more than education — it’s empowerment.

And the best part? The centre runs in a community-led model. There are no fees. No rigid timetables. Just a safe space, dedicated devices, and the freedom to learn.
